Arnold Music & Gifts Lessons Page At Arnold Music we want to help foster a community of musicians. One of the ways we do this is by teaching private lessons. We teach Piano, Guitar, Voice, Percussion, Strings, and most Band Instruments. Music education is beneficial to all age groups. Parents of preschoolers should know that music training – specifically piano instruction – dramatically enhances children’s abstract reasoning skills necessary for learning math and science. Studies show that learning to play an instrument helps students to develop faster physically, mentally, emotionally and socially as well as increasing general self-esteem and interest in school work. The benefits continue through high school. According to reports by the College Entrance Examination Board, students of the arts continue to outperform their non-arts peers on the SAT, especially in the verbal and math portions of the test. Of course, the adult can benefit as well by resuming music study they began in childhood or pursuing a lifelong dream to learn to play. They can usually pick up on the concepts quickly and begin playing for their own enjoyment after just a few lessons. We currently offer 30 minute weekly private lessons for just $50.00 per month.
